After Will bolted from the scene, everything fell apart. The atmosphere changed drastically and we all took the chance to slip away. I was the last to leave the place where Will once rolled in agonizing pain.I trudged through the thick snow on all four of my paws. I remember watching Will transform... I could feel his pain as the scales enveloped his body. I shuddered at the memory. ~calm down Gord...~ I reassured myself. ~He'll be fine~ It was William after all. The tall evil kid that we all know and like. I looked towards the dark sky. The stars shone brightly as snow drifted like leaves in autumn winds. I flicked out my wolf like tongue and gathered a small amount of this frozen rain. The coldness of it felt magnificent in my warm mouth. (ok note here: Not all Transformed human dragon kind, like to walk on all for like Mr.Fresh and others. I on one and enjoy to use all four at times)
"Stop day dreaming ya big lizard." someone said behind me. I turned around and came snout to nose with Heather.
I caught the smell of her hair in the light breeze. It smelt like oranges.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Oh I just decided to follow you." she said casually.
~Great...~ I thought, ~ Now I have a stalker...~
She sped up her walk to match my long strides. "So what are you up to?"
"Going home and figuring this whole transforming thing out."
~Why am I telling her this?~
"Cool.. you do know there's people out the trying to kill every single dragon out there."
"Like you?"
She stopped and stared me down. "You know we put that behind of us for you, you know"
I looked at her. "So many lives have been fucked up through this whole transforming into dragons bull shit... I wanna go back to my normal life..."
"You mean as a big fifteen, fat kid with no life? Who's girlfriend dumped you with some fucked up excuse?"
I was flustered and so was she, we both knew it. "I'm sorry," we said at the same time.
I stuttered. "No I went to far I was wrong to say those things I said."
"No, I was the one who shot out with the insults... I should have figured-"
"stay low" I barked turning my snout to the east. Something was coming.
"What's wrong?" heather asked me.
A large figure blocked out the moon. Stretching my talons I stood upon my hind legs and steadied myself. A big white dragon descended in front of us. "Are you the one that isssss half dragon?"
it asked me.
"Half dragon?"
"yessss..." it replied, "half dragon, human with dragon blood..."
"we know no one of that status if there is one alive." I opened my wings shielding Heather.
The dragon came closer. "you ssssmell of dragon slayerssss" it raised its snout around me sniffing the air, "The tasssste of the hunter'ssss bonessss will be a great change from the tassssste of caron."
I took a step forward. "you won't harm my friends."
"Ssso iss there one near usss?"
I lunged for this other dragons throat. It quickly sidestepped me and shoved me aside. Heather gave a small squeak of fright.
"Run damn it!" I called out.
"I can take this one," she said nervously.
I whipped around and struck again, this time hitting the dragon in the back, launching us forward. With a thud we hit the ground hard. With the wind knocked out of my opponent I vigorously attacked, blow after blow at the bones and muscles attaching its wings to its back. It roared. I struck a final blow. But it got caught in the dragons wing membranes.
"Shit!" I yelled.
A tail hit me in the back of my head and I fell to my left rolling off this big beast. It jumped me and I felt hard cold nails dig into my underbelly scales. I roared in pain and bit the dragons neck removing a large chunk of meat. Blood flowed everywhere by this point. I heard someone call out. A humans voice.... no... two... three maybe?
With a final heave I plummeted my dagger like nails into the jugular of the opponent dragon and felt the heavy weight fall off of me. Three sets of arms wrapped around mine and pulled me onto the hard pavement.
"He's lucky to be alive..." one person said. I remember the voice... it was Tensa.
"Thank god too..." It was heather.
"You so know he killed one of the oldest dragons alive?" A third voice, male, in his late teens, maybe 19? had to be Joey.
I shook my head to clear it. ~The pain!~ I screamed inside my head, ~ THE PAIN! DRAKS HELP!!~ the lone dragon in my head was no where to be found. Probably sulking in a dark part of my brain somewhere.
"He's coming to!" Tensa shouted.
"Put this ointment on the wounds, it'll heal them faster." Joey said as a strong acidic smelling compound was passed through my eye sight. Heather applied it to the deep cuts on my underbelly, and boy, it hurt like a bitch. I rolled and gagged up my dinner.
"Awe! Gross, dragon vomit!" Tensa jumped away from me.
"Calm down Tensa," Joey barked at her. "It's just Gord, calm down."
Heather placed her hand in mine and I gripped it tightly. "You're cutting off the circulation kiddo."
"sorry," I said weakly, letting go of it.
"I think he deserves something..." Heather said.
"Really? I thought him being healed by us was reward enough." Joey scoffed.
"Nawh, He deserves more, he did what no dragon slayer and transformed human could do. Kill their own kind."
"You mean?"
"That dragon was his father."
